Introduction to Digital Learning is a self-paced professional learning course that moves beyond “online vs. face-to-face” debates to reframe digital learning as culture, not just course modality. Designed for faculty, staff, and academic leaders, it blends research, practice-based stories, and guided audits of participants’ own courses and programs, culminating in a concrete Digital Learning Action Plan they can act on immediately.

This professional learning short course introduces college faculty to the Flipped Classroom model, where content is delivered outside of class to create active, student-centered learning during class time. Participants will explore the model’s foundations, useful technologies, and evidence-based strategies. Practical examples will demonstrate flipped teaching in action. The course concludes with reflection and planning for implementation, equipping faculty with tools to begin flipping their own courses effectively.

Digital Literacies in Action is a self-paced professional learning course that moves beyond checklists of technology skills to focus on whose voices, stories, and knowledge are centered in digital spaces. Grounded in decades of research, it uses reflective storytelling, collaborative analysis, and applied design challenges to help participants build an actionable blueprint for fostering sustainable, plural digital literacies across their courses, programs, and institutions

This course aims to equip college professionals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively help students navigate and utilize digital technologies. Participants will learn about digital identity, data privacy, misinformation, digital access, digital nativism, and ethical issues in digital engagement.
